what if's and i wish...

i wish i am in my beloved city right now...
cruising its busy streets,
running towards the subway station as I heard the approaching train coming to a full stop,
watching the windows display in Macy's as i pass by
Looking up and see the Empire State Building or Chrysler's at 42nd street.
hmmmm. i love it there. if only i chose to stay. gambled it. instead of wanting the simple life i used to have before the "grand adventure."
i'm feeling like i'm Persephone, after eating the Pomegrenate in the underworld.
Wanted to stay but can't, longed to stay but didn't.
